About Us
As the oldest AMA chartered club in Oregon, Rose City Motorcycle Club (RCMC) can trace our roots all the way back to 1911. The first iteration of Rose City Motorcycle Club was from a merger of the Portland Motorcycle Club and Oregon Motorcycle Club at a meeting in the Odd Fellows building in what is now Loyal Legion Beer Hall in Portland, Oregon. The club reverted back to Portland Motorcycle Club a couple years later and then reformed as Rose City Motorcycle Club around 1920 to help host races at the Rose City Racetrack (now Rose City Golf Course). Annual RCMC membership today averages about 200 members, with a core group of about 50 active riders. While our club demographic skews older, we are one of the few motorcycle organizations getting younger with average age decreasing by 10 in the last few years thanks to an influx of younger members recently.
