About Kisselgoff Motorcycle Museum

A Worthy Destination for Every Rider

Whether you're carving around Lake Superior or exploring the rugged beauty of Northwestern Ontario, the Kisselgoff Motorcycle Museum is the worthy destination to add to your ride. Located in the historic "Odeon" Movie Theater in downtown Fort William (Thunder Bay), this museum is a historic sanctuary for those that appreciate two-wheels and the open road.

A Collector's Legacy

Founded in 2023 by Dr. David Kisselgoff—a local radiologist and enthusiast who began his riding journey at age 40—the museum showcases the evolution of motorcycling. What began as a personal hobby is now a public heritage project dedicated to preserving the artistry, innovation, and culture of two-wheeled travel.

The Kisselgoff Collection: Over 60 Motorcycle Icons from Around the World

Walk through decades of engineering history with a diverse collection of machines, including:

  • MILITARY RARITIES
    The 1941 Indian 841, a shaft-drive V-twin built for desert warfare (1 of only 1,100).
  • BRITISH EXCELLENCE
One of North America's largest collections of Norton, Ariel, Triumph, BSA, and Sunbeam.
  • CUSTOM ART
The 2006 Yamaha Roadliner Daytona build and metal sculptures by Canadian racing legend Michel Tremblay.
  • VINTAGE CLASSICS
From the 1936 Indian Scout Junior to a 1976 Ural USSR Road Police sidecar.

The Perfect Pit Stop

We designed the museum to be a hub for the riding community:

  • Local Expertise: Our crew provides insider advice on the best local routes, including the "3 Major Thunder Bay Rides."
  • Community Spirit: Join us for guided weekend rides or browse our motorcycle-themed gift shop.
